Lab grade

I believe that a 90% grade for this quarter would be about right, because I've only missed one class and I got caught up on what I missed. I try to reach all the requirements needed for each activity we do. Though I do tend to rush to get it done in time, therefore some of my work might not be as well organized as it could be.

Kalan,

As an honors student, I certainly expect more from you in lab, but you don't dissapoint. Your work ethic is consistent and focused each lab period. You participate and are a pleasure to work with. Your writing is good, but this quarter I want you to focus on improving the language choices you make. This doesn't come easily for many writers. They fall in love with what they write or they hate it and don't know how to improve it. It's all about revision and approaching rewriting with a critical eye. Also, it helps to be a reader so that you can pull something from your reading experience — whether that something is a phrase, a word, an interesting sentence structure, or even a particular writing style. What are you reading now?

I've given you a 93 in lab this quarter.
